Nature Needs Your Help!
Above: Dunn-Dooley Sanctuary
HNC has been a leader in nature protection since it acquired the Spooky Hollow Nature Sanctuary in 1961. Since that time over 500 acres have been permanently protected in 9 nature sanctuaries thanks to the generosity of HNC donors.
The nature sanctuaries protect over 20 species at risk and countless common species. They also provide important refuges for us to enjoy being in nature, while helping to combat the twin biodiversity and climate crises.
HNC’s nature sanctuaries are not subject to changes in policy. This is becoming more and more important with the increasingly frequent policy changes that are reducing nature protection on private lands. We need to protect nature by acquiring more nature sanctuaries.
Your help is needed to build the Wildlands Acquisition Fund to allow us to acquire a new nature sanctuary in 2021! All gifts are appreciated and donations over $20 receive a tax receipt.
